Box Hedging Plants

Box (Buxus) are one of the most naturalistic hedging varieties, and are enormously popular as low-growing edging plants or for trimming into topiary shapes. Box plants are easily grown evergreen shrubs or hedges, and can grow to heights of around five metres.

Box plants should be planted during the spring or autumn months, in areas of adequate drainage. They can be planted in areas of shade or direct sunlight, and are tolerant of most soil types. The leaves of Box species are a rich, vibrant dark green, which has lead to them being considered one of the most popular traditional hedging choices. They are also densely structured and hardy, both assets which lend Box plants to being used in various topiary projects.

Our Box (Buxus) hedging plants are available in a huge range of sizes, depending on the needs of your project. You can also choose the method of their delivery, either as bare root or rootballed plants from November - April, or as pot grown plants which can be planted all year round.
