Thuja Smaragd (Thuja occidentalis Smaragd) (Emerald Thuja) are a more compact variety of conifer with bright green foliage. A more upright growing variety they give an architectural stance to the hedge as well as a good windbreak and noise filter. Thuja Smaragd (Thuja occidentalis Smaragd) (Emerald Thuja) are more economical than English Yew (Taxus baccata) but similarly can be pruned hard back and will regenerate from the wood and they are slightly slower in growth than Leylandii so easier to maintain.
Our Thuja Smaragd (Thuja occidentalis Smaragd) (Emerald Thuja) plants are available as pot grown plants which may be planted all year round and rootballed plants which are available during the correct season for planting between October/November to early April.
