Euonymus Japonicus is a more sturdy variety of this evergreen shrub with deep green leaves and tiny flowers which are sometimes succeeded by attractive pink berries. It is very easy to maintain either as a low growing hedge, ground cover or individual shrubs.

Use for... ground cover, low hedges or individual shrubs.

Growth rate... slow to average 10-20cm per year.

Ideal hedge height... Euonymus Japonicus is suitable for hedges between 60-200cm in height.

Situation & soil... Euonymus Japonicus will grow in any reasonable soil and will also grow well in coastal and lightly shady areas. Once established it is a good drought tolerant plant. We recommend Rootgrow and Bonemeal when planting to get your hedge off to a great start.

Plant description... these are 30-50cm plants in 2 litre pots very easy to transport and to plant. A typical plant may be seen in the photo above.
