Use for... an evergreen hedge or shrub which is both prickly and evergreen. 

Growth rate... fast 30-40cm per year.

Ideal hedge height... Berberis Darwinii (evergreen barberry) can be kept between 90 and 250cm.

Situation & soil... prefers mild sites and sunny areas will also tolerate coastal sites sheltered from cold winds. We recommend Rootgrow and Bonemeal when planting to get your new hedge off to a great start.
